Ariser Pro FAQ

Answers to our most frequently asked questions

What can Ariser Pro offer my school/organization?

Ariser Pro offers schools and organizations on-site, real-time support for kids and staff that ensures students stay on the path of success, happiness, and self-actualization. Our program offers guidance in social-emotional intelligence, mindfulness and meditation, as well as curriculum centered around practical life skills and universal values - what we call Polestars. We do this in a number of different ways including integrated on-site support, Bright Knights Classes, mentoring, and Life Champions classes. Read more about each offering below.

Why would we hire an outside company for this service?

Teachers and Staff are busy enough as it is! Plus hiring Ariser allows for a ‘caring 3rd party’ that can observe things from an outside perspective that is often difficult for staff to see. Our program also allows for a unique rapport with students that makes it possible to build bridges and aid in communication, well-being, and engagement.

What is ‘real-time, on-site support’?

This is one of our favorite offerings! Real-time, on-site support means one of our Ariser teachers is on campus ready and available to make observations, troubleshoot issues, guide students in social-emotional intelligence, communication, and more. This is often the missing piece in schools because the situations that require this kind of support are often invisible or overlooked. Imagine a school where students, staff, and people of the community are bolstered by a team of people that ensure everyone’s needs are met and everyone feels seen, heard, and honored.

What kind of staff support do you offer?

In addition to the real-time, on-site support outlined in the previous question, Ariser Pro offers our signature ASC Teacher Training, staff workshops, and consultations that troubleshoot issues and provide guidance on staying centered, present, and connected to students and your school’s mission. We use a version of NVC or non-violent communication in our work, and can coach staff on how to facilitate natural consequences instead of punishments, and troubleshoot situations through a lens of mindfulness, empathy, and compassion instead of the good/bad binary.

What is Bright Knights? How is it incorporated into schools?

Bright Knights is a fun, immersive class that builds life skills via the hero's journey. Each adventure follows a specially designed story that gives kids an opportunity to stretch their imaginations, work as a team, practice mindfulness, and have fun in a world of make-believe. Our BK teachers are specially trained in facilitating interactions that build emotional intelligence, collaboration and listening skills, respect for one another and the environment, and helping kids embody their authentic selves - all while maintaining a safe and fun environment.

These adventures can be incorporated into your school via weekly classes on or off-site, special events, or offered as an extracurricular class. Classes typically range from 1.5 - 2 hours and our Class Flows are full of valuable activities, lessons, and opportunities to make friends and have fun.

What is your mentoring program?

Our Mentoring Program is the core of Ariser. It is an impactful combination of practical life guidance and compassionate support based on Ariser's 3 Tenets: Centering, Presence, and Connection with a focus on social-emotional intelligence and practical life skills.

Customized for each student, Ariser Mentoring can be anything from academic tutoring to deeper social-emotional work like identifying and processing emotions, communication, and knowing oneself. It can also include student-driven study, musical lessons and guidance, or a customized curriculum based on our Ariser guiding principles - AKA Polestars - like leadership, collaboration, integrity, tenacity, etc.

Mentoring can be incorporated directly into your school with weekly or monthly sessions or offered as an extracurricular support.

What are Life Champions Classes?

Life Champions include Life 101 for 4 - 6 year olds, Life Champions for 7 - 10 year olds, Life Lessons for kids 11 years and older, and Zen Shorts fit for all ages (even families!).

Each class includes Circles, in-depth discussions, activities, and lessons based on our signature curriculum and Polestars (universal values).

During circles we share prompts and themes designed to ensure connection, an overall feeling of being seen, heard, and honored, and the development of skills like public speaking, compassionate listening, and being inclusive. After Circle, students are guided through lessons and discussions centered around Polestars or themes where concepts are defined, practiced, and shared as a group. Throughout class we use stories, art, games, and other activities to keep learning fun and inclusive.

What are Polestars?

Polestars can be defined as something that serves as a guiding principle or is the center of attention. For Arisers, Polestars serve as the ideals each student and mentor strive to embody. Compassion, gratitude, humility, perseverance, and other values are at the core of all we do and teach. As with mindfulness, these values are a practice that we cultivate in mentoring sessions, Bright Knights adventures, and everyday life. They are universal and benefit not just the student, but their communities and the world beyond.

How are goals determined and pursued?

As mentioned above, the first mentoring session involves both students and parents in order to determine goals and ensure we are all on the same page. Once clear goals are agreed upon between the student, parents, and mentor, we custom tailor a plan to achieve them.

Every session will include exercises, discussions, and lessons that will guide students toward their goals. We are careful to respect each student’s temperament, social-emotional needs, and personality by pacing ourselves, checking in frequently, and ensuring our students feel safe to be authentic and honest. With guiding principles like our Polestars leading the way, each mentoring session gets us closer to achieving our goals.

We track progress with our before and after metrics system, also known as ‘Ariser Likerts,’ as well as write summary reports highlighting wins, break-throughs, and growth edges.

What safety precautions do you take on Bright Knights adventures?

Every adventure will have at least one adult who is fully certified in CPR/First Aid for both children and adults (we are in the process of getting all staff certified). The lead instructor carries a fully stocked first aid kit at all times.

We take safety very seriously. We discuss rules and expectations before every adventure and emphasize that our #1 goal is to keep everyone safe.
